FAITHFUL WITNESSES — PART 1
Forty-four years ago today, on July 28, 1982, a small airplane crashed shortly after taking off from a private airstrip in Texas. Among those who died were Christian musician Keith Green and two of his young children, Josiah and Bethany.
Keith was only twenty-eight years old.
It is hard to comprehend. I remember exactly where I was when I heard that he and his two children have died. Sometime after that I attended a second chapter of Acts concert. Buck Herring, who was there manager in the husband of Annie Herring talked about Keith at that concert. The last days ranch which was Keith's in Texas but it right up against the land that buck Herring had.. Buck said he went out to Keith's grave and started praying for the Lord to sing Keith back. Then he heard the Lord speak to him and say, Keith doesn't want to come back! Well I guess nuf said huh?
I've asked myself that question many times. What it boils down too it's just love Him more than anything else. I know that's easier said than done. At least it is for me. But if our hearts are laid down, He will clear our paths and invite us to daily follow Him. But they're following also entails His invitation to pick up our cross!
This shows the condition of the church today and how Christianity is often interpreted, many people measure success by high positions, status and everykind of competition is sadly, the word discipleship often missing.
People definitely like titles and the church is no different. I wish it was. The title we should all see is "servant of Christ", and be willing to walk seeking only recognition from the humble King we serve.
I often face challenges when I go to reach people from certain difficult communities, some Bishops and pastors tell me, God has not lifted you up yet,if He had, you wouldn't be going again
I need to be careful about what I say here concerning what you wrote. I do not want to condemn, but, what you have encountered certainly does not reflect the heart of Christ. We are to build each other up. Arrogance and power seeks its own way, but it is not the way of the Lord.
it's so hard to believe it has been 44 years since the plane accident. his heart for worship still rings true for us knew him then. he had a tremendous impact on Christian music and in Christian lives.

What comfort, ambition, possession, or personal plan might I be unwilling to surrender if Christ asked it of me?
